WIN A BREAK IN THE LAKE DISTRICT

Overlooking Windermere, England’s largest lake, the hotel has recently undergone a multi-million-pound refurbishment and prides itself on offering a relaxed and informal atmosphere and guaranteeing a warm Lakes welcome for all its guests, from couples to families to those with dogs.

There are a variety of rooms for visitors to choose, from cosy to Lake View Balcony rooms, to the stunning Ro Suite. The design takes inspiration from the lake and surrounding landscape with cool blues and turquoises complemented with accents of orange, natural stone and traditional grey slate.

Worth £450, the prize includes a two-night stay for two in the Ro Suite, with a three- course dinner in the à la carte restaurant on one evening, an Afternoon Tea or takeaway lunch and hearty breakfasts on both mornings. There are numerous local attractions you can visit, including the Beatrix Potter Museum, a short stroll from the hotel. 

Cruises and boat hire are available from the nearby pier, and for those keen to explore the great outdoors on foot, there is a wall map in the reception. The team are also happy to make recommendations, from gentle ambles to more challenging hikes. There are also several trails running directly from the hotel. After a long day, guests can return to the hotel for a tipple at the stunning bar, which serves a selection of wines, ales and craft gins in addition to an extensive cocktail list including the signature Ro featuring Lake rhubarb rosehip, elderflower syrup, prosecco and gin.
